About

“What are you going to do with all that dark? Find a way to glow in it.” – Amanda Torroni

Hey there! I’m Erin. I’m a writer, advocate for a childhood social anxiety disorder that I overcame called selective mutism, and a self-proclaimed full-on nerdy person. I work as a news writer/reporter for an entertainment publication in Los Angeles and I’m the host of my podcast, In the Know with Erin Glow. I’m also currently writing a memoir about my experiences in finding my voice, so that I can maybe help those who struggle with the same disorder I went through as well as those who struggle with any emotional limitations. In addition to my writing work and podcast work, I regularly update my YouTube channel with various vlogs about my journey.

I’m a huge lover of guinea pigs and laugh at the silliest things. I was born in the ’80s so I  grew up with a lot of pop culture from that era and it’s made me into the nerdy young woman I am today. My favorite movie is Weird Science and I still have a Gloworm and several Polly Pocket sets that I grew up with as a child. I’ve practically coerced every friend I’ve ever had into playing the board game, Dream Phone, with me (yes, even straight guys!), and I once accidentally killed my older brother’s sea monkeys (something he hasn’t let me forget about for the past 25 years!).

I hope you’ll follow and join me in learning about this crazy thing we call life. We’re all in this together and although things can get tough sometimes, I feel it’s important to keep hope alive with inspiration in our hearts, and to prioritize love above all else.

Let’s glow and shine bright. xo
