“Be Brave.”
“Be brave”…I can think of several outlets today that remind us to follow this bold advice. From a fortune cookie to a Starbucks Coffee cup to a Sara Barellies song, being brave is something society clearly encourages. These two words are so simple. The action behind them, not so much. Let me ask you a question. How many times have you looked fear in the face and went after what you wanted despite how it made you look? If you can’t count the number of times on both hands then you’re on the right track. I’ve encountered moments in my life when being brave didn’t seem like an option. I’ve also encountered moments when it did. I can honestly say that every time I took advantage of my bravery, no matter the outcome, I was happier than when I didn’t.
Please say what you feel and go after what you want. Don’t let fear win. Fear is merely a challenge in this journey of life. You may be called crazy and you may get rejected again and again and…again, but you still put yourself out there. You took control of your fear and became courageous. That’s half the battle. What happens after that is not up to you. The rest will work out the way it’s supposed to. If the outcome ends up being something other than what you were hoping for, that’s okay. You won’t ever have to regret what you didn’t do because you took action. You were brave and believe me, there’s nothing more beautiful than that. Glow & shine bright! xo
